Depending on the industry in which you work, morphing your style to suit the likes of most offices can sometimes be trying. I’m all for trusty black slacks and a well-tailored blazer but now and again I like to inject some measure of femininity into a work wear OOTD by way of a pretty and polished suit dress. Would you believe me if I told you that I purchased said dress while vacationing in the Philippines? Well, I did – so you best be believin’.
While I’m all for heels on a day-to-day basis I typically opt for flats instead (in this case, the same flat, over-the-knees boots featured in AN ACHROMATIC OUTFIT). Despite the positive temperatures in which these photos were shot, with the weather still likely to dip below zero, I’m all for tights to keep my legs warm as well as cozy.
And, of course, a staple in every working woman’s/man’s/whoever’s work wardrobe is (or should be) a little black bag. Never underestimate the versatility of a black bag – like a little black dress, a black blazer (and really any clothing item of a similar nature) is POW! POW! POWER! This year, I’m really making an effort to expand my very limited bag collection – let’s see how I fair, tee hee.
Accessories go a long way, too, in pulling together a work wear OOTD.
The same can be said of this eternity charm necklace, also by The Peach Box. Minimalist jewellery is always – yes, always – a win, no matter the outfit. And would you believe it took only 10 days from the day of purchase for these beauties to arrive? Yas, girl! And because I love youuu, use “tpb-thegwb_” to save 15% off your purchase from The Peach Box (valid until the end of March).
One of my favourite work wear accessories is a stellar timepiece. For this work wear OOTD, I chose this GUESS rose gold plated watch gifted to me by the boyfran for Christmas. I love that I can take it from day to night without ever skipping a beat (or a minute, ~lolz~).
How do you style a work wear OOTD?
These earrings and this necklace was provided to me by The Peach Box for editorial consideration. As always, all opinions written here are honest and my own.
