Winter is coming.
There, I said it. Am I being premature in saying so? Perhaps. But – if your skin is anything like mine – chances are you’re already feeling the effects of, ahem, drier air. And with that comes a whole whack of skin issues (for me, at least).
My point? Skin is *precious* and ought to be treated as such – cue the Clarisonic Deep Pore Mia 2 (click here). I’ve been using it for the past few weeks and all I can say is yaaaas (jk – I can say a lot more than that, which is why I’m writing this post, duh).
If you’re not familiar with this *blessed* handheld machine, allow me to give you the lowdown (side note, does anyone still actually use “lowdown”?) The Clarisonic Deep Pore Mia 2 is specifically designed to remove impurities, control oil and refine enlarged pores. With two settings – delicate and universal (the former of which I prefer as I find the universal setting a little too aggressive) – this particular brush head is ideal for those with oily or combination skin.
Prior to using my Clairsonic, I simply used my fingers to cleanse my face. While a reliable “tool” (so to speak), cleansing has always come as somewhat of challenge for me. By that I mean I’ve always found it trying to remove my makeup in full – often I’m left with a thin film of foundation that requires a secondary cleanse.
With my Clarisonic, however, not only does it remove my makeup in full and in one go, but so too does it provide me with a deep clean – to the point where my cotton pad shows no residue post-tone. In fact, I’ve been using it in conjunction with the Deep Pore Daily Cleanser.
Although I tend to be particularly picky with my cleansers, I do find this one gentle enough for everyday use (albeit slightly drying at times). The great thing about the Mia 2, however, is that it can of course be used in conjunction with any cleanser.
There’s certainly something of the Detoxifying Clay Mask, too. I use this product once a week after cleansing. To do so, I simply apply the mask with my fingers and let it sit for 10 minutes until it hardens.
The mask has a rich, creamy texture. Add to that its incredibly uhhhmazing cooling sensation and mhmmm, honey, this stuff is the ~real deal~. In terms of removal, I actually opt for my fingers in place of my Clarisonic but, of course, that’s simply a personal preference.
All in all, I’m impressed with the performance of the Clarisonic Deep Pore Mia 2 and (in case you hadn’t already guessed) it will continue to be a part of my daily skin care routine.
