CRUSHED VELVET, BLACK BOOTIES + GOLD ACCENTS

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: I. Love. Fall. It’s my favourite time of year – be it the rich hues, seasonally-inspired lattes (of which I indulge in none) or the #fashun, I’m a fall devotee, through and through.

Since my last style post (read here) I’ve moved for the third *gasp* and final time. Currently, I’m residing in the Upper West Side (that’s UWS for short – New Yorkers waddup?!). Now, I’m about a five minute walk from Central Park so I ~obvs~ found it only fitting to explore my new neighbourhood.

And, of course, no stroll through relatively vast expanses of aging greenery is complete without a calf-baring dress to boot. Speaking of which, I scored said number at Zara. Crushed velvet is totally trending at the mo and I couldn’t be happier; for me, it’s reminiscent of my pre-pubescent years (minus the complementary plum lip and leather jacket).

I’m also crushing on (pun intended) these ALDO FW’16 booties. Likeee can we talk about versatility? That and the fact that they just pair so well with crushed velvet. Per usual, when I love an item as much as I do these booties, I have to make a conscious effort not to wear them everyday (despite my impulse to do just that).

But obvsss no outfit is complete without a set of killer accessories. At this point it should come as no surprise that, for me, accessories are a mainstay. Case in point, these beauties from BaubleBar’s Guest Bartender collection: the Shay Mitchell Journey.

I’m all about the details and these particular pieces are all about that and then some. Featured here is the Astra Cuff, the Maxim Cuff Set and the Zosma Drops. I love the way they catch the light just so (insert twinkle emoji here).
