Originality is over. Like, O.V.E.R. I say this because it’s near impossible to do anything that hasn’t been done before and, yes, this is also true of subscription boxes. With that in mind, there’s still something to be said of GLOSSYBOX, a monthly subscription-based beauty box that includes five deluxe to full sized beauty products. And, yes, it comes all neatly wrapped up in a pretty pink box.
As far as first impressions go, not only am I impressed with the product sizes but so too am I impressed by the presentation (and also the speedy delivery – though that may be in part because I’m NYC-based). But let’s dive into this GLOSSYBOX review, shall we?
I received March’s GLOSSYBOX which included tarte cosmetics’ Tarteguard Sunscreen Lotion, CATRICE Comestics Absolute Rose Eyeshadow Palette, Emité Make Up Millesis Active Eye Light, Figs & Rouge Avancé + Mattifying Emulsion, Mary Kay Timewise Repair Volu-Firm Set and Incoco Nail Polish Strips. From skincare to makeup, it’s really a beauty junkie’s dream. Currently I’m crushing on the CATRICE Cosmetics eyeshadow palette (rosy nudes are totes life, amiright?) as well as the Figs & Rouge Avancé + Mattifying Emulsion. But the question remains: would I pay $20+ a month for a few maybe-full-size beauty products?
My answer is no. I have no qualms with dropping dollars on all kinds of beauty products (in fact, I do so regularly). To that end, I definitely believe GLOSSYBOX to be of awesome value – if you’re someone who prefers to try it before ya buy it or if you don’t go through product quickly, then GLOSSYBOX may just be something to consider.
