As the midsummer heat wave is upon us, I’m feeling the melt in more ways than one. I’ve spent this entire summer, for reasons I’m not yet ready to vocalize, in a state of angst. With that, I’ve felt terribly demotivated (on more than one occasion, at least). In fact, even something that I once loved has lost its spark…
and that something would be blogging.
How can I make blogging fun again? It’s become more of a chore than anything else, and I resent that, I really, really do. But something’s missing – that joie de vivre, I suppose.
I guess I can liken the feeling to summer – it’s a love/hate relationship, really. I mean, I love a midsummer outfit opp as much as the next fashion fanatic, but a girl can only do her laundry so often, okay? Coping with the heat becomes as much of a sporting event as a 5 km run, I swear. But yet, I love nothing more than that sweet summer glow, bare legs and rosé – you know, all those quintessential summertime things.
My point? I guess I’ll just have to get through my rut in the same way I get through summer – with a little bit of time, a lot of patience, and even more rosé.
C’est la vie.
