Canadian fashion – what’s there to say?
Of all items currently in my wardrobe, this striped blouse is undoubtedly my fave. From fit to fabric, it very much encapsulates my personal style. But, in truth, what really caught my eye was its embroidery – and that’s when I discovered that this blouse is part of the Twik & Estée Preda collab at Simons. Let me give you a quick rundown of what’s what and who’s who.
Esthera Preda is a Quebec illustrator. Twik is a label that’s part of Simons – a ~supes~ trendy Canadian department store. They collaborated and birthed this beautiful blouse in addition to a bunch of other awesomeness.
I’ll admit, it’s been a minute since I’ve checked out the Canadian fashion scene, but I can honestly say I haven’t been this excited about clothing since maybe…ever.
And that’s saying something.
To me, fashion functions as an extension of self – a visual display of one’s inner being, if you will. I suppose that’s what’s better referred to as style – taking fashion, and making it your own. Even better? When there’s a story to accompany it – and it’s for this reason exactly why I’ll always hold a special place in my closet (and heart) for this Twik & Estée Preda blouse.
(P.S. At the time of styling this outfit I didn’t realize that my clutch and earrings are also Canadian. Coincidence? I think not.)
