There’s no better time than the present (spring, that is) to bare some shoulder and leg, too. Off-the-shoulder shirts are having a serious moment right about meow as too are fringe mini skirts. Combined, the two make a perfect pair.
I had the most fortunate opportunity to shoot with my #1 blogger gal pal Jes of Brash & Brilliant. We had a such a fun time snappin’ these pics, I’m already looking forward to our next photo sesh.
Proof is in the puddin’, folks. It doesn’t get much more fun than whirling and twirling amirite? If nothing else, a fringe mini skirt really ups the ante on that OOTD fun factor.
Admittedly, the fringe skirt trend has had it’s time in the limelight since FW15 but I’m still loving the look for SS16. May the 70s influence continue to reign strong!
This shirt though! Can we just take a moment? I was iffy about off-the-shoulder shirts until spotting this Zara number. I’m devoted to button-downs and lapel collars (collars in general, actually) so while that in itself was enough for me to purchase said item, I was also drawn to the feminine and flirty layers.
All in all, I’m really lusting over this off-the-shoulder shirt trend and I may just populate my wardrobe with one or two more. It’s a trend that’s equal parts cute, fun and slightly impractical (but eh, all in the name of fashion).
But no outfit is complete without a cute pair of shoes, of course! Also featured in A Transitional Outift, these point-toe, sling-back ALDO flats may be uncomfortable (like, way) but they’re totes cute (like, way) and most definitely help to complete this outfit.
Equally as cute is this fuchsia Kate Spade wallet, which I often wear in place of a clutch. A bright pop of colour is always desirable throughout the spring season.
(Oh yeah and sometimes I smile, just for Jes heyooo!)
