There’s no time like the turn of the season to try something new and, in my case, that means transitional denim – namely, transitional dressing in denim. Rarely do I wear jeans – in fact, this is the only pair I currently own. That’s because I find jeans uncomfortable likeee 90% of the time. Yet, I do believe that fashion is all about pushing oneself out of one’s comfort zone (right? right!) – so, here I am, doing just that.
Of the few pairs of jeans I’ve owned throughout my lifetime, among my favourite have been those from Urban Outfitters. Not surprisingly, then, this pair was purchased from UO (shop them here). I lucked out when I found these – they’re slimming without being overly snug (note the distressed detailing, too) sooo they’re basically perfect. Like, ~basically~ the best.
I mean, I could probably live in high-waist anything (yes, even jeans)!
Of course, when I’m unsure as to how to style something I like to keep it simple. In this case, that means a white tee, a sleeveless blazer (sleeves are so overrated) minimal jewellery and comfortable footwear.
While I cycle through white t-shirts often, I most like a lose, deep-v fit. For a more polished take I decided to pair said shirt with a structured separate (i.e. a blazer) ’cause #fashion.
As for shoes, these brogues (ALDO, last season) are my go-to pair when I want to lend a more refined but trendy vibe to my ensemble.
The day is rare that I keep my accessories to a minimum, but in this case I felt comfortable doing so. You can almost always find me in a watch, but for an added measure of somethin’ somethin’ I opted for a BaubleBar cuff bracelet.
And, in case you were wondering, this pup was on loan for the weekend. JK, I was dog-sitting for a friend. But seriously, does he not make the pawfect (ha) accessory?! Side note: I prrrefer cats every. single. time. Also note: I did pick up his poop, and I did not like it.
