When sent samples from the Visage Holiday 2015 Celestial Colour Collection you can bet I was eager to start swatchin’. The collection features five powder eyeshadows, three matte liquid lipsticks, a highlighter/blush and a contour palette.
What more can I say other than that I am truly enamoured. With hues inspired from this year’s runways and, of course, the holiday season itself, all that glitters really is gold with Visage’s latest makeup collection.
From top to bottom is Mystic-al (a champagne with a shimmer finish), Equinox (a burgundy plum with a matte finish) and Stellar (a gold with a polychromatic finish). Each eyeshadow is paraben and gluten-free and contain vitamins C and E.
To me, nothing quite says the holidays like glitzy and deep-toned eyeshadows and these three do just that. Mystic-al is a lovely champagne tone that’s ideal for the inner corner as well as the lid. I especially like Stellar for the lid as it’s a densely pigmented, metallic-y and glittery shadow that’s oh so holiday-esque. In so far as Equinox goes, it’s a lovely tone of plum for the holidays as well as the winter season, although it does take multiple applications to achieve opacity.
Featured here is the matte liquid lipstick After Hours (a siren red) from the Visage Holiday 2015 Celestial Colour Collection. With its paraben-free, vegan, vitamin E and beeswax-based formula, this lippie applies like an absolute dream. It doesn’t cake or crack, nor does it feather throughout the day (or night, for that matter). Ugh and wouldn’t you say this particular shade is the perfect holiday red?!
By far the Galactic Glow Blusher is my favourite in the Visage Holiday 2015 Celestial Colour Collection. The formula is paraben-free, hypoallergenic and it contains vitamins A, C and E.
Formula factoids aside, the Galactic Glow Blusher is the perfect measure of blush and highlighter. As it applies sheer, it’s easy to build whether for a dramatic or demure look. In fact, I’ve been wearing it in place of my usual blush – it’s that ideal wear-with-all blusher that’s suited to every skin tone.
