BACK FROM THE DEAD (OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT).
My two plus month hiatus notwithstanding, I’m alive and well (at least as well as one can be whilst surviving the tumultuous environment that is New York City). Though I could go on, let’s be honest – you came here for one thing and one thing only: fashion. And that’s exactly what I’m going to give you (with the occasional quip, of course).
Enter the big blue sweater. Said article was purchased from H&M in November of last year and I’ve been keeping cozy in it ever since.
Let’s all just take a second to appreciate the details, shall we? I absolutely ~luv~ cable knit sweaters and this particular one shows off some seriously chic cross-stitching.
And because I’m all for wearing pieces that do nada for my figure (because #fashun, duh), I decided to keep the rest of this winter sweater ootd simple. And black.
For me that means a pair of black skinnies and black booties – together they create the illusion of long legs (emphasis on the word ‘illusion’). I’ve had these ALDO booties on repeat for some time (see here). Why? ISN’T IT OBVIOUS?! They go with (almost) every article of clothing in my wardrobe.
That said, so too did I keep my accessories simple with silhouettes that also suit every article of clothing in my wardrobe – starting with this BaubleBar initial velvet choker.
And to play up the gold I opted for these BaubleBar ear jackets and line studs from this earring trio. Again, my aim was to keep my accessories simple yet chic as this sweater is already a statement all on its own.
And now it’s time for some real talk – huge, huge, HUGE shout out to my main squeeze Maritza for braving the cold AND playing photographer for the day! What are girl friends for if not to function as your blogger bestie from time to time?
